Paddy Forde
is a Canadian-born science fiction writer who
enjoyed an itinerant childhood, residing in Europe and the U.S. before settling permanently in southern
Ontario. He has been a finalist for the Hugo Award, the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, and the British
Fantasy Award.
In addition to publishing fiction and non-fiction,
he regularly gives talks on
the craft of writing to groups ranging from grade-schoolers to graduate students, and he has led workshops
for aspiring writers at the annual conference of the Canadian Authors Association as well as the World Science
Fiction Convention. He lives in Waterloo,Ontario, with his wife Kathleen and daughter Maeve, and is currently attempting the
leap from novellas to novels. "In Spirit," the piece thats in the book, won Analog's Analytical Laboratory Award and was a finalist for
the Hugo Award. |
